I Had the Ambition. This Programme Gave It Directi
My name is Oke Damilare. I am a final year Surveying and Geoinformatics student-leader and freelance geospatial analyst with practical field experience in cadastral surveying, GIS, and spatial data collection for real-world infrastructure and land management applications.
I am an alumnus of Growth Beyond Grades, a fellowship I would recommend to any young person who is willing to grow beyond grades.
The most important thing I built during this programme was clarity.
Before now, I had experiences, skills, and ambitions, but they lacked structure and direction. This programme helped me connect them into a clear professional identity.
I became more honest about my weaknesses, especially in networking and professional communication, while also gaining confidence in the value of my leadership and practical experiences.
Instead of waiting passively for opportunities, I now think more intentionally about growth, positioning, and long-term development.
Thanks to God, the Reboot Wellbeing and Empowerment Foundation (R-WEF), and The Student Growth Hub for the opportunity and the platform to learn, reflect, and grow.
I don’t just set goals now. I set measurable goals and take intentional steps towards achieving them.
